Christmas Bell Cake
Make a slab foundation cake in 23 cm square tin. Prepare one full quantity
of creamy frosting.
Trace the outline of a bell on a piece of paper and use this as a pattern for
the cake. Cut it carefully to shape with a sharp knife and brush away crumbs.
Spread the whole of the top and the side of the cake with some yellow-tinted
creamy frosting. Dip a knife in hot water and smooth the surface.

Press chopped nuts into the sides and decorate the top with chopped cherries. A
whole walnut forms the clapper and the bell is finished off with a bright red
ribbon bow on top.
