
Creamy Frosting
Ingredients
- Half cup butter or margarine
- 3 1/2 cups sifted icing sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 unbeaten egg white
- Food coloring
Cream the butter and add to it one cup of the sifted icing sugar, salt,
vanilla and water. Using a wooden spoon, beat until well blended.

Add another cup of sugar and the unbeaten egg white, and continue beating after
each addition. Add the remainder of the sugar in the same manner. If the mixture
is a little too stiff, add a spoonful of water or fruit juice.
