
Shower Tea Cake
Make a foundation cake in a 23 cm square tin. Prepare a treble quantity
Vienna icing. using milk or cream in place of fruit juice. This cake, in the
shape of a wedding bell. makes a very attractive centre-piece for the party
table at a shower tea.

flavor the Vienna icing with vanilla and color two tablespoonfuls each with
green and mauve. The rest of the icing may be tinted to any pastel shade
desired. With a cardboard pattern, cut out a bell shape from the canted cake
using a piece cut away from the cake for the clapper. Frost the top and sides
with the icing and decorate with pastel-coloured flowers, then attach a bow of
ribbon to the top.
