
Two-Tiered Square Wedding Cakes
Make a 450 grams rich wedding cake mixture in three 5 cm square tins.
Place aside, allow to cool. Cover the cakes with fondant covering, allowing to
set. Cover the cake boards with gold or silver paper and attach a tin. wide
frill of tulle round edge of the board. Mark the position of the four pillars in
the two opposite corners of the lower tiered cakes, make the raised lattice
rounds and place one in the centre of each lower tier. Surround these with rose
and trim with pastel leaves and trails.

Make or buy medallions for the corners, trim with forget- me-not's and place
in position, piping a single scallop drape round the edge of each cake and
decorating the corners and sides with roses and leaves.
Shell-edge the corners, decorate the top with fresh flowers and trail narrow
ribbons down the sides and across the lower tier.
